Family Chevrolet extends marketing partnership with Placerville
Speedway for remainder of 2008 racing season
For the last five racing seasons, Family Chevrolet-Cadillac of Shingle Springs has
sponsored the Annual Tribute to Al Hinds race at Placerville Speedway. Now, the longtime area auto dealership has
collaborated with John Padjen Motorsports, partnering to promote the sport of auto racing in El Dorado County for
the remainder of the 2008 racing season.


Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial Concludes Busy Weekend
One of the biggest weekends of racing is set for this weekend at Silver Dollar
Speedway in Chico. On Friday night, May 16, point race number eight during the Feather Falls Casino championship
series will feature three divisions. The 410 sprints, wingless sprints and street stocks will race. The night is
sponsored by Rod Fauver and Fauver Race Ready Rentals. With the additional help from Fauver the 410 sprints will
race for $2,000 to win.

Series ready for 18th annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial this Saturday May

All eyes in the Northern California sprint car scene will be focused in on
the Silver Dollar Speedway this coming Saturday night for the Golden State
Challenge Series sanctioned 18th annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial. The
prestigious event will begin the second half of the season for the traveling
410 series and will feature a talent packed roster attempting to put their
name on the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial win list, which is practically a who’s
who of California sprint car racing over the last 20 years.

continues to shine with new team in Placerville championship series
Successful duo of Wiesz and Taylor look to maintain point lead entering
point race seven
During his racing career, Colfax resident Colby
Wiesz has driven for very few different car owners. The majority of his
career has been spent behind the wheel of his family owned team prior to
filling in for David Robinson Jr. for 2006-2007 with the FnF Racing Team.
This year, the multi-time Marysville Raceway Park track champion has teamed with
veteran car owner John Taylor and just five races into the season the duo
obviously proves to be a perfect blend of talent and commitment.

Forsberg scores third
Placerville win to cap off $4000 weekend of success
Auburn native Andy Forsberg gave his mother a pair of presents over Mother's Day
weekend. It wasn't in the form of jewelry or flowers but he certainly has some extra cash to do that now after
winning a total of $4000 in his A&A Stepping Stone #92 sprint car over the weekend. Following a victory Friday
night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Forsberg drive to his third win of the season at Placerville Speedway
Saturday night to win $2000 on Cold Springs Community Church Night.

Tyler Walker wins exciting Chris & Brian Faria Memorial
In the world of sprint car racing few drivers are more
exciting that Los Angeles’ Tyler Walker and San Jose’s Tim Kaeding. The pair always seem to get that extra little
bit out of their machines and both were at it again Saturday night at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway during the
annual Chris & Brian Faria Memorial.

Forsberg, Pettit, Abouzeid and Grenert Winners at Chico
Four racing divisions entertained the packed house Friday night
at John Padjen's Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Auburn's Andy Forsberg, and former track champion and current 410
sprint car leader, led all 25-laps to win his first main of the year at Chico. Chico's Jimmy Pettit won his second wingless main event of the year.
The Rocket Man, Mark Abouzeid of Chico, won the 15-lap dirt modified main event. Mike Grenert won an action packed dwarf car main event that provided the
best finish of the night.
